Maharashtra Factories and Shop & Establishment Minimum Wages July 2021 to Dec 2021

Maharashtra Minimum Wages Under Factories and Shop & Establishment Factories Act, 1948. 

Minimum Wages Act applicable to all over India except Jammu and Kashmir. It applies to the employment if it employs 50 or more employees in the state. It is not applicable to any employees in any Central government or of the central railway, except with the consent of the central government.

The State Government of Maharashtra had issued a notification vide notification No.MWA10/6509- revising Minimum Wage rates to in a shop and commercial establishment’ in the state of Maharashtra for unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled employees wef. 04 Aug 2021.

As per reference of clause III of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, minimum wages are revised after every five years.

This notification is mandatory for all Shop and commercial establishments and Factories for Maharashtra state.

For Maharashtra state minimum HRA should be 5% for more than 50 employees.

Zone I : Area falling within the limit of all municipal corporations, Cantonment area and Industrial area within 20km radious from all municipal corporations limit.

Zone II : Shall comprise of the area falling within the limit of all "A" & "B" grade municipal councils.

Zone III : Shall comprise all other areas in the state, which are not included in Zone I & II.
